While dealing with different websites, the main issue I got lately are the speed issues. And most of these sites were built using Elementor.

And the main culprit they’re pointing to for these speed issues is the Elementor plugin.

With that in mind, I was searching for ways on how to build a WordPress website without the need of this popular page builder. I know switching to other page builders (e.g. Divi or Beaver Builder) is not the solution.

My main solution is to use the classic theme. But with this, I was also figuring out how client’s will be able to edit their own site without the need of the developer.

I came up with the idea to use the blocks but without the knowledge that this native site builder already exists. LOL

I did not read about it, I did not heard about it. I just discovered that it’s already there and I don’t know since when. Actually, I’ve seen this few years back, but it wasn’t this easy to use. Or maybe, I just did not gave it a chance.

So, moving on, I tested it for quite a while and realized that it almost work like Elementor. I had search about it and found out many recommendations, and that unlike Elementor, it won’t bloat your website with unnecessary scripts.

I’m convince this native site editor is the best way to go since it’s “native”, it’s part of WordPress core. 🙂
